I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
My practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families.
- I have a process that will help with reducing anxiety and many other subcategories such as panic disorders, agoraphobia, social phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and Post traumatic stress disorder.
- Depression therapy is diagnosed through a battery of test such as the Beck depression Inventory, and others then we work on issues such as building self-esteem, and other important issues.
- Bi-polar therapy is also done through a series of test and assessment and then we work toward attainable goals.
- Grief Counseling is encouraged for those who have lost someone close to them. However, there are other issues such as separation/divorce, loss of a job, family member or friend incarcerated, and other grief concerns.
- I.Q. testing is done through a series of test but remember not to take this too seriously.
- ADHD/ADD is tested and sometimes medications may be necessary and sometimes can be treated through therapy alone.
- Vocational and the ASVAB testing can be done to see what career you would like to begin or maybe begin a second career like myself.
- I specialize in fear reduction. Flooding, and desensitization are some of the methods used for therapy. There are other methods that may be integrated.
- We are "a people" that are overwhelmed with conflict. I process this and determine what the issue is and help the client work through these issues.
- Family issues are narrowed by using Family systems therapy and other modalities.
- Couples are encouraged to come for counseling. I offer pre-marital counseling as well.
